The Student Success Fund provides emergency aid to CVCC students in crisis, covering essentials like food, housing, and transportation. Working with a Community Connections Coordinator, the Foundation offers resources such as a food pantry, faculty referrals, and support fund guidance to help students stay on track.
Alumni Shape CVCC's Legacy
Bree Oldham, President and CEO of Electronic Design & Manufacturing (EDM), served as CVCC鈥檚 2025 commencement speaker. She credits CVCC with helping her balance full-time work while completing coursework for the CPA exam. With more than a decade of experience in manufacturing and finance, she now leads EDM, a 100% employee-owned contract manufacturer. Oldham remains engaged with CVCC through advisory board service and partnerships that provide internships, training, and career opportunities for students in advanced manufacturing.
The Virginia Community College System, CVCC, and the CVCC Educational Foundation honored Jason Greene and Delta Star with the 19th Annual Chancellor鈥檚 Award for Leadership in Philanthropy. The award recognizes exceptional leaders who support Virginia鈥檚 Community Colleges and their foundations. Jason Greene, president and CEO of Delta Star, was an early champion of CVCC鈥檚 CTE Academy, providing generous support personally and through Delta Star. His advocacy for scalable, career-focused technical education was instrumental in turning the CTE Academy vision into reality.
